Còisir Ghàidhlig Loch Abar - Lochaber Gaelic Choir

We are a recently formed Gaelic choir (est. 2014) based in Fort William. Members are a friendly group, of all ages, who share a passion for Gaelic choral singing.

The choir participates annually in the Royal National Mòd and also aims to compete in a small number of Provincial Mòds.

The choir’s first Mòd was in Oban in 2015 where they won the Margrat Duncan Memorial Trophy. We retained the trophy in 2016 in Stornoway and again in Lochaber in 2017. The choir began competing in the prestigious Lovat & Tullibardine competition for the first time in the 2018 Mòd at Dunoon.

The choir is conducted by Mòd Gold Medallist, Rachel Walker, who’s unique musical arrangements for the choir have been considered one of it’s greatest strengths.
