Choir Members - Laxdale Gaelic Choir

Laxdale Choir met for the first time in 1951. It is conducted in its present form as a Ladies Choir by Debbie Woods.

The object of the Choir shall be to provide in the interest of social welfare, facilities and assistance to all persons who may have an interest in the furtherance of music, the Gaelic language and the culture which attaches thereto. Competitions at a local or national level which may be of assistance to the foregoing shall also serve an as object of the Choir.

Rehearsals

  • Laxdale Ladies have resumed practices every Tuesday at 7:30 in Laxdale Hall. Feel free to come along if you have an interest in joining us.....you will be made very welcome

Other information

  • The Choir is keen to share its enjoyment of Gaelic song through performance. Though Gaelic choral singing is the Choir’s prime focus, it has a number of individual members who are accomplished in both song and instrument. The Choir welcomes inquiries regarding its availability to perform.
