Choir Members - Lairg Gaelic Choir

Lairg Gaelic Choir was formed in 1976 and has competed at the National Mod since 1978. It draws Members from Central and East Sutherland, Ross-shire and further afield.

The Choir has enjoyed success at the National Mod in the Sheriff John MacMaster Campbell Memorial Trophy for rural choirs and currently has approximately 25 enthusiastic choristers under the baton of Leslie Cranna and Gaelic tuition by Donald Beaton.

The Choir are a sociable bunch and new members are always welcome to attend - knowledge of Gaelic is not essential as recordings, translations and tuition will be provided.

Rehearsals

  • Mondays @7.30pm. Practices alternate monthly between Lairg and Golspie. Regular Saturday workshops are also held throughout the year. Contact the Secretary for details.
