Choir Members - Aberfeldy & District Gaelic Choir

The Aberfeldy & District Gaelic Choir was formed in 1967 and had immediate successes at rural choir level at the National Mod. From there, the choir progressed, eventually winning the coveted Lovat & Tullibardine trophy in 1988, the ultimate accolade in Gaelic choral performance and a huge triumph for a choir from such a small Perthshire town.

The choir remains the only Gaelic Choir in Perthshire and performs annually at both National and provincial Mod level, winning many trophies over the years. Our versitality includes singing at local events, such as the annual Christmas Concert and a trip to Spain where we sang not only in Gaelic, but in Spanish!

However, it is not all about competing, but also about enjoyment and the choir has a rerputation for enjoying ourselves as much as our music.

  • Rehearsals take place on Mondays at 7.30 in the Aberfeldy Town Hall, situated on the Creiff Road.
